UOB Supports Thai Women Entrepreneurs Through the Womenpreneur: Sustainability and Innovation Program Towards Future Business Leaders
With the continuous growth trend of Thai women entrepreneurs, who start businesses at a rate 1.1 times higher than men and with 83% confident in their potential for business growth in the next five years, UOB Thailand is committed to supporting women entrepreneurs through the Womenpreneur: Sustainability and Innovation program to strengthen Thai businesses for sustainable growth.

This program is conducted by UOB FinLab in collaboration with the Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development (CEED), aiming to help women entrepreneurs overcome obstacles in accessing funding, business planning, and networking through a three-month training program. Participants from 25 companies have summarized key knowledge into three keys to success:
PAEI Framework: Balancing Organizational Potential
The PAEI concept consists of four key roles in organizational management:
·Producer (P): Focused on results and efficiency
·Administrator (A): Managing systems and processes
·Entrepreneur (E): Innovating and strategizing
·Integrator (I): Fostering collaboration and relationships within the team
Examples of companies implementing this concept include P.J. Garment (Thailand), a uniform manufacturer that restructured its organization to expand its business to a billion-baht level, and Amhealth Asia, the owner of the PETCHPLOY brand in fashion and health, which developed its team structure to enhance employee satisfaction and prepare for product portfolio expansion.

New S-Curve: Creating a New Wave of Growth
In an era of rapid technological change, entrepreneurs must be bold in thinking, acting, and embracing new innovations to achieve sustainable growth. For example, Kiss of Beauty, a skincare product manufacturer, has transformed its business strategy with the New S-Curve concept, investing in R&D to develop anti-aging products for the mass market, aiming for a 35% sales increase.
Connection & Inspiration: Networks and Inspiration
The connections among women entrepreneurs create new opportunities and drive growth. For instance, 360 Care, the developer of the HiCare brand, based on nationally recognized research, had the opportunity to meet and receive marketing advice from Mr. Thanongsak Sae-iaw, founder and CEO of Restart Co., Ltd., owner of the Yuedpao brand, which could lead to future collaborations, including creating a Fashion Collection with the Yuedpao brand to expand the customer base. Additionally, Digital Shortcut, a digital marketing knowledge center, aims to make brands stand out in a highly competitive market through unique identity strategies, building on the advice and networks received from experts in the community.

Ms. Piyaporn Ratprasatporn, Assistant Managing Director of Branch Network and Digital Services at UOB Thailand stated that supporting women entrepreneurs is not just about equality but is an investment in potential that can drive the Thai economy to grow innovatively and sustainably. Creating an ecosystem conducive to the development of women-owned businesses will enhance their competitiveness on a global scale and cultivate a new generation of business leaders ready to face future changes.
